Kärtsy is one of the most versatile rock musicians coming from Finland, known from the Finish band Waltari. The deal includes Kärtsy complete unsigned back catalog as well as all upcoming releases. One of those is the release of his second solo album "aWay", where he connects sophisticated pop with great rock, ignoring any borders between the genres. Kärtsy combines great melodies to a modern rock album, where he also shows us his view on the world by sharing his experiences of the last years.
The first single from the album is "Fade Away", which is still oriented to the Waltari songs. The B-side single "The Lonely" is dedicated to the lonely computer generation. His new album will be released in Finland on 57 Records OY (22. August 2014) and in GAS via G-Records / Rough Trade (19. September 2014).
Kärtsy tried during his long career many different genres, from rock, metal, hip hop and rap to electro, theater and world music. During the last years he worked with artists like Bomfunk MC`s, Apocalyptica, Children of Bodom, Him and Amorphis. One special highlight of his career was the collaboration for the Max Payne-computer game in 2000 and 2002, which was sold million fold worldwide. This versatile artist also composed a metal symphony and worked with the Finish state ballet. His solo debut album "Duty Freedom" was released in 2010, followed by a tour through Europe and China.
